Algol’s 125th anniversary year begins – Responsibility guides everything we do

Back in 1894, German-born Albert Goldbeck-Löwe saw potential in Finland and founded an agency business in Helsinki to supply Finnish industry with industrial chemicals, metals and building materials.

Over the following 125 years, Algol has grown into an international multi-branch group with subsidiaries active in twelve countries supplying a wide range of products, services and solutions to industry and the healthcare sector.

Throughout our history, responsibility has guided everything we do. In both good times and bad we have carried responsibility for the success of our business partners, the wellbeing of our employees and the development of our business environment.

Our 125th anniversary year begins today. History is an important asset for us, but our focus remains very much on the future.
