Algol is a Finnish family business, and all its shares are owned by the Bargum family. The three largest shareholders own 98% of the shares
Board of the parent company
The Board of Directors of the parent company Algol Oy is responsible for making strategic decisions, overseeing the company’s operations and ensuring long-term success, taking into account both business and sustainability goals and the values of the family business. The Board focuses on issues related to ownership strategy, financing and the use of Group resources. The parent company is also responsible for the Group’s shared functions. These include, for example, financial administration, property management, ICT, corporate responsibility, the Group’s communications, and the Algol brand. The implementation of good corporate governance is supported by Algol’s policies and Code of Business Conduct.
Boards of Directors of Group companies
Algol Group companies have their own boards of directors, which are responsible for the strategic steering and supervision of their business operations. They align their operations with the goals of the parent company and the family business strategy, while ensuring the operational independence of Group companies and the development of their market position.
