Algol earns third place in Most Responsible Summer Job of the Year competition in 2024 in Finland

Algol has been named the third most responsible employer of summer workers in the Responsible Summer Job of the Year competition in the category for large businesses in 2024 in Finland. Summer workers praised Algol especially for the meaningfulness of their tasks, as well as the orientation and guidance they received. The overall satisfaction of our summer workers was also at a high level.
Organised by Oikotie, a Finnish job board and partner for recruitment needs, the Responsible Summer Job of the Year Campaign is the largest survey of its kind in Finland. All employers in the Responsible Workplace community participated in the survey, which was conducted in June-August. This summer, 49 organisations in the category for large businesses participated.
Summer workers were recruited this year by our parent company Algol Oy, Algol Chemicals and Algol Technics, the majority working for the service operations of Algol Technics.
Results based on ratings by summer workers
In the competition, summer workers rate their own work experience, for example in terms of orientation and guidance, the meaningfulness of their tasks, fairness and equality, overall satisfaction and their employment contracts.
According to the results, the secret of Algol’s success lies in consistently good performance in all aspects of the summer job experience. In particular, our summer workers praised the meaningfulness of their tasks, as well as the orientation and guidance they received. The overall satisfaction of our summer workers was also at a high level.
Algol’s responsibility index was 4.76 on a scale of 1–5. The average score among all organisations that participated in the survey was 4.49.
