Algol Technics strengthens automation and robotics expertise by acquiring entire shareholding in Co-Automation
Algol Oy subsidiary Algol Technics is strengthening its expertise in automation and robotics by acquiring the entire remaining shareholding in Co-Automation Oy, a Finnish company based in Vaasa. Algol Technics initially acquired a 75% shareholding in Co-Automation at the start of 2018. The acquisition will increase the ability and capacity of Algol Technics to supply customers with even larger robotics and automation products and services.
Co-Automation is a systems supplier of industrial production and packaging cells and lines built around robotics. The company is a forerunner of 3D design for production, in which a robot cell can be programmed and tested already in the design phase.
“State-of-the-art industrial automation and robotics are a key part of our strategy. This integration enables us to develop a first-class design and project organisation. It allows us to supply our customers with automation systems that significantly boost their productivity and competitiveness,” says Martin Evers, Managing Director of Algol Technics.
